8 October: Let us protect the nature 8 October is the international day for reducing the damage done to the nature. The human activities and the natural catastrophes (most of which are also directly caused by people) are the reasons for destroying the nature. Let us fight against it!
11 October: Antifascist Day
This is a day when the mankind should show its determination to oppose the fascism as one of the biggest evils of the modern world.
12 October: Alleviating the natural catastrophes
The floods, the hurricanes, the draughts, etc, are the everyday causes of destroying thousands of lives and gods. The international day for reducing the damages caused by natural catastrophes aims to encourage activities for “alleviating” their consequences – and the prevention is always the best solution.
15 October: Walk today
This date was declared International Walking Day. The vehicles should remain in the garages and use the public transport or the bikes instead. It would be even better to use your roller skates, pushbikes or your feet.
15 October: International Day of the Blind
On this day, we should remind ourselves of our commitment to help those who were gifted with one sense less than the others- the blind and the hard of hearing. There are a number of ways in which we can help them and make their lives easier – one good example for that is the Tactile Exhibition of Louver masterpieces which is going on at the Museum of Macedonia.
16 October: World Food Day
16 October: World Day for Fight Against Poverty and the World Day for Fight Against Hunger
24 October: UN Day
24 October: World Day for Information Development
31 October: International Day of the Black Sea
