BEST
Young, but with many ideas
Eco-aThe board of European Students of Technology (BEST) is a young, unprofitable and non-political students’ NGO founded in March 1999 in Berlin. It was founded as a response to the need of association that will promote communication, cooperation and exchange among students of technology throughout Europe.
The goal of this organization is to promote activities that will help European Technology Students to become more internationally oriented by acquiring better development of European cultures and by building capacities for work on international basis. The goal can be accomplished through active involvement of its members in challenging and innovative projects, providing the necessary conditions for their improvement and putting their capacities into function. Since they have been recently established, BEST have not yet realized a concrete project, however they have taken part in various seminars and trainings in Paris, Bucharest, Athens, etc.
_”There are fifteen members in the organization – all students, but there is a great interest and we expect this number to grow. The most important activity in this period is to prepare ourselves for a cultural exchange in August this year where we plan 10 to 15 students from the University of Bucharest to be guests at our university. The introducing to our culture, our treasures and the presentation of our university will last for two weeks” – said Marjan Zakev, one of the BEST founders.
BEST from Skopje are expecting a very important event in November this year when they will apply for the young BEST membership. They are also planning an expert seminar for the next year in Skopje with about 30 guest-students from Europe
