Affirmation of the meteorology science

On the occasion of the World Meteorology Day, March 23, we talked to Meteo-Mak Association whose members are professional meteorologists and other citizens with the purpose of educating and affirming the public in the meteorology science. 

As Mrs. Olivija Todorovic, president of this association said, they are preparing a Meteorology and Hydrology Instruments Manual, intended for introducing this scientific discipline to children. Education from the aspect of meteorology and ecology is one of the main activities of “Meteo-Mak”, and in that direction was the big project called ”Atmosphere, Water and the Man”, which took place on the occasion of the 50-Th anniversary of the World Meteorology Organization operating within UN. The project included drawing competition for children on this subject, which took place at the National HydroMeteorology Institute. Many drawing were placed on the Institute office walls and some of them were even drawn on the Institute walls.
Apart from this, says Mrs. Todorovic, “Meteo-Mak” makes efforts to continue the publication of its bulletin, as well as to spread the research project on the weather-changes influence on people’s health from the aspect of free radicals production, which was conducted last year in co-operation with the Neurology Clinic at the Clinic Centre in Skopje.
