3 May: Exhibition by Dutch artists

The exhibition by contemporary Dutch artists will be opened on 3 May 2007 at 7 pm at the Cifte Amam in Skopje. The exhibition is organized by Collateral Aid from Holland and the National Gallery of Macedonia with financial help from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Holland. 

 

3 May: Media freedom

3 May is the international day for media freedom. In every society, the media are an indicator of the level of democracy. 

 

3 May: Save energy!

The problem of excessive consumption of the energy is directly related to the global warming, the pollution and the impoverishment of the natural resources. Therefore – save energy!

 

8 May: International Red Cross Day

The International Red Cross Day is a day to remind us on the mission of humanity and offering help to the ones in need. 

 

9 May: European Day

On 9 May 1950, the French Minister of External Affairs, Robert Schumann, called for uniting the European production of coal and steel, which was the basis of today’s EU. 

 

15 May: Let us maintain the climate balance

The world day for maintaining the climate balance is a day to remind us that the fight against the global warming depends on our individual engagement. 

 
24 May: Women Action for Peace

United by the UN Organization, the women organizations all over the world become part of the Woman Action for Peace and disarming. They organize demonstrations, protests and other events calling for peace in the world.
