 Short description of the topic:

The possibilities and the perspectives of the local development are an important aspect in the upcoming process of decentralization, as well as to the roblems of unemployment, poverty, underdeveloped regions, infrastructural development...

The decentralization does not represent  a threat, on the contrary it is a chance for local development; the local communities will have the responsibility to manage their own resources. In what way the local cultural resources (cultural-historical, natural, material and spiritual legacy) and the human potentials can be put in function of the economic and social development? Several projects that have been implemented through the program “Life legacy” supported by FIOOM and the Foundation King Boduen from Belgium, represent a model. Of course, the following is very important: what are the constraints and the risks?
