In organization of “Borjan Tanevski” and “Konrad Adenauer” Foundations
A conference dedicated to youth integration in EU
In presence of 50 talented students from several universities from Macedonia, South East European University from Tetovo, the Faculty of Law, New York University, FON University and American College from Skopje, together with students from Greece, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania and USA, in the “Klub na pratenici” in Skopje, on 7 and 8 December, within the 4th International Student Conference the topic "The Role of Balkan Youth Towards EU Integrations" was discussed.
The conference was organized by “Borjan Tanevski” and “Konrad Adenauer” Foundations and the following also took part in it: the diplomat Patrick Pake from the European Commission office in Skopje, Alexandra Papadopolu, ambassador of Republic of Greece in Macedonia, Snezana Manceva from the governmental Secretariat for European Affairs and Filip Stil from the EU Information Department of Bavaria. Diplomats, along with professors Denko Maleski, Dimitar Mircev, Vincent Mueller, David Wisner and Nazmi Maliki helped students to find out more about the road towards European integration, how to be out of the EU but its member, too.
The students discussed quite critically about the political conditions in Macedonia and the need for bigger activity, education of new young personnel about the process of meeting the EU standards. They showed optimism for Europisation of the Balkans, talked more about things that bring together, employment, population’s standard and closer cross-border cooperation. For solving other open problems on the Balkans, they even showed bigger optimism than the older participants.
