The draft-resolutions from the first Conference for Sustainability were presented
In organization of the Centre for institutional development (CID) a concluding session titled: “Possible strategies for sustainability of the civil society sector in Macedonia” was held on the third day of the NGO fair. On this session the draft-resolutions were presented, achieved at the Conference for Sustainability of the civil society sector in Macedonia, and coming from materials drawn from the work of the Macedonian and the foreign participants from Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro and Kosovo, which was held during the seven sessions from 2-5 of December. The draft-resolutions were only the starting point in the future discussions for their final fulfilment – Zoran Stojkovski from CID stated this. Regarding the proposals for a change in the legal frames, a big attention was drawn to the need for amending the law for civic organizations and foundations, with focus on the economical activities and on the defining of the status of the public interest organizations, initializing a change into the fiscal laws in Macedonia, regulating the Governmental support, tax liberated individuals and companies that would like to donate, beneficiaries to the tax for organizations, etc. The need for a change in the legal regulative, philanthropy support, also the need for a change in the lottery games, and on the field of mobilizing of the civic associations’ resources, the draft-conclusions concern the need for involving of individuals and groups for the betterment of the quality of life in the local community, emphasizing on the citizens’ trust for the changes in the society, which are regarded as a key to the development of the financial sustainability. In this occasion, said Stojkovski, the need for enlarging of the public image, transparency and efficiency of the civil society sector, are strongly emphasized, building proper or financial strategies for sustainability, but also an opportunity for the donors to have clear strategies in the development of the practice for finance raisings for the organizations that support them. The development of corporative philanthropy in the draft-conclusions for a further focusing on the Civic associations’ activities in Macedonia, requires bigger support by the business subjects for the development of programs and projects of the civic organizations, development of skills of society liable entrepreneurs within the business sector, as well as the need of a mutual interest and cooperation on relation business sector-civil society sector, and setting a mutual cooperation interest. The civil society sector should build its own infrastructure for support and offers for cooperation with the business sector, that is, to stir the donations in the business sector legally, and the civil society sector on the other side should have an original manner in terms of promotion and commercials- this was concluded at the end of the draft-resolutions from the first Conference for Sustainability of the civil society sector in Macedonia.
