“e-Macedonia” Foundation has presented awards
Civil society organizations and institutions received 74.109 euros
“Agrocenter for education” – Skopje, the Working University “Negotino/;, The First Children Embassy in the World “Medjashi” – Skopje, The center for computer services and trade “ALGORITAM” – Skopje, Sveti Nikole Women Organization, The Roma Community Centre “DROM” from Kumanovo, AISEC Prilep, The Civil Creative Center “KREA” from Radovish, the school for rehabilitation of hard of hearing children and young people “Dimitar Vlahov” from Skopje, the civil society association “JUNONA” – Skopje and the Macedonian Speleological Federation, are the civil society organizations that received this year’s grants of the “e-Macedonia” Foundation for support and development of the information society, designed for implementing the submitted projects at this years’ open competition. The total number of applicants who applied with a project was 34. The amount of money given as grants is 74.109 euros.
In this occasion, the Foundation representatives said that the interest for applying grows every year, but also that the projects are mainly focused on using the information technology and making it accessible to children in general as well as to the children with special needs, the unemployed, the educational staff and the ethnic minorities. In 2007, the Foundation will promote a new program for supporting the information society.
