Raising the ICT level
 

The information technologies development foundation has announced an advert in the media for 50 visitors to take part in the project called “An information and communication step forward towards the world standards”, providing an 80% donated computer education for student graduates in the last year of their studies with an average mark of 8 and above and for graduated unemployed (for up to two yeas) people with an average mark of 8 and above. The selected individuals will be provided 100 hours of computer and office administration training in the period of three and a half months. The project has been realized in cooperation with the E-Macedonian Foundation, which is part of Macedonian Telecommunications, and both parties have so far been delivering computer training for unemployed individuals and full-time students from Skopje.

Previously, the Information Technologies Development Foundation had been managing a World Bank project for developing the capacities of the Rankovce municipality inhabitants and the local government in the direction of IT and HR. With its staff as trainers, in the period between 2003 and 2005, the Foundation participated in the Balkan Environment Association in the realization of the project called “International training – centre for jobs in the field of environment”, in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine from Skopje. Among its activities, we can mention the professional computer education of the employees at municipalities of Skopje and Gjorce Petrov.

The Foundation is a member of the Macedonian Association of Information Centres and has so far educated over 4 000 visitors.
