Local Community Development Foundation – Stip Introduction of the concept of Foundation to the community The Local Community Development Foundation – Stip, through its philanthropy program, has started with the realization of the project “Introduction of the concept of Foundation to the community”. “The main objective is to show that we do not have to wait foreign donors only, we should contribute ourselves to solve community problems”, stated Boris Sarkovski, program manager in the Foundation. According to him, businessmen, citizens and local authorities will all be able to get involved and donate funds so that priority local problems are sold. “So far we have had only two programs for environmental protection and children and youth fund, but we are also open for some other ideas”, pointed out Violeta Niceva, program assistant in the Foundation. The first project they are already realizing through the Children and Youth Fund is the sale of New Year’s cards made by children at the age between 3 and 5 from the kindergarten “Astibo”. “Collected money will be given to the Children’s Ward in Stip. In cooperation with the hospital, we have made a list of priorities of everything that this department needs and depending on how we receive the funds, we will solve the problems”, added Sarkovski.
