South East European University – Human Rights Center opened
At the South East European University in Tetovo, on the occasion of the Human Rights Day, Human Rights Center has been opened and interdisciplinary studies for human rights have been promoted. At the opening ceremony the Head of the Center, Besa Arifi, stated that in Macedonia there was violation of human rights in all spheres of life.
“Lately it has been noticeable that there are violations of human rights in all spheres, especially within children where there is growth of 15 percent”, said Arifi.
From the Human Rights Center they have announced to carry out researches on respecting the rights in some institutions, such as the prisons in Tetovo and Idrizovo in Skopje.
