Scholarships for Researching and International Peace

The US International Institute for Peace announced a competition for the election of researchers in the Jennings Randolph Programme for international peace. Twelve to fifteen scholarships are awarded through this programme every year to scientists and practitioners from various professions, including college and university experts, journalists, diplomats, writers, military officers, international negotiators, NGO professionals and lawyers. The institute finances projects referring to preventive diplomacy, ethnic and regional conflicts, sustaining peace and peaceful operations, establishing peace, democratization and rule of law, intercultural negotiations, non-violent social movements, US external policy in the 21st century, etc.

The scholarship amount is 80 000 dollars and it includes trip to Washington, health insurance, and office with a computer as well as a researching job for half of the working hours. Citizens from all nationalities can apply. We especially encourage women and minorities. More information on www.usip.org .
